An Introduction to Psychic Awareness

Image Introduction to Psychic Awareness by Ryllandra RoseAn Introduction to Psychic Awareness: A Basic Primer for beginners.

Psychic senses, everybody has them, but not everyone knows how to use them. How can you discover your own psychic senses and learn to develop them? This practical, very down to earth little book gives the very basics of the beginning of psychic ability. For those wondering how to start using their own psychic senses, this is the perfect place to start.

To make it easier for readers to have at hand, and for those not familiar with the Realm, I’ve compiled all the Psychic Development articles from Ryllandra’s Realm, along with one complete short story excerpt from my book Voices & Visions: A Psychic’s Recollections into this little basic primer for beginners.

Available here.

A Classic D&D Adventure for levels 1-3. Requires Rules Cyclopedia (1991 Ed.) or Dungeons and Dragons Basic and Master sets to play as is.

Nobody else wanted to take on a job of helping out an orc, but if their gold is good then who cares … right? Black Orc Down puts the party on the trail of a missing orc chieftain. Can they rescue him from the dark mysteries of the Undercity beneath Forecastle? Can they uncover the vile plot which threatens to disrupt the power structure of The Shades? If they fail, will the death of one orc really matter that much?

Black Orc Down is an Adventure written for the Phaemorea World setting, but it can be adapted to be compatible with any D&D setting. It also gives an overview of Forecastle, the pirate capital of the Garter States. The adventure is a short one, suitable for a single session or two, but could easily be expanded into a much larger story.

Provided as a 13 page bookmarked PDF and designed to look and play like the old Classic D&D modules. The cover is full colour, the rest of the book is black & white to facilitate economical printing. Comes with optional pre-generated characters in the finest tradition of Old School D&D.

A 20 page bookmarked PDF containing suggested rules adaptations for the Dungeons & Dragons Rules Cyclopaedia (1991 ed.). The changes focus on updating classic D&D for the modern audience without sacrificing the very things that made OD&D great. The goal isn’t to rewrite an excellent system, but to tweak it with house rules adapted from years of play.

Phaemorea Rules Supplement includes new rules for General Skills, Healing and Energy Drain. Also included are the comprehensive rules for Adventurer Guilds and an in depth look at the role played by the Thieves’ Guild. There are class variants, such as the Ranger Fighter variant, the Jinx Thief variant and two different looks for the Mystic. There is also a wealth of other new information to help make Phaemorea feel like a new world.

Phaemorea is a classic high fantasy setting designed for use with the classic Dungeons & Dragons Rules Cyclopaedia (1991 ed.) though it can easily be adapted for use with any high fantasy setting. The world is designed to be compatible with all the old classic modules, as well as providing a fresh new setting for both new and old players.

The Guide to Phaemorea is a 40 page bookmarked PDF that gives an overview of the history, cultures and Immortals of the world of Phaemorea. A colour hex map is included in the book. It is a world still reeling from brutal wars that engulfed entire civilisations and left a legacy of dark magic which still permeates areas of the land. Even now, the old foe sits silent on the other side of a great mountain range, and it’s only a matter of time until they once again bring their undead hordes into the lands of the living.

Phaemorea is a labour of love by the creators, and is being released under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike Licence, so other people around the world can add their own creations into the world. Please consider donating a little to the project to help us buy art assets for the expansion of the world. Voices & Visions: The Life & Death of Mary Elizabeth

Purchase here or here. Every soul reacts differently when they pass from life into death. Sister Mary Elizabeth lived a very devout life, and as a result she had very strong expectations of what her death and afterlife would be like. When things were not as she thought they should be, she was left feeling very, very angry. That’s how she came to me, in a rage at the lies she had lived in life. This story is about a real life encounter I had with this restless soul. This story is essentially about how our experiences in life can leave us with preconceptions that carry well beyond death. Many things about this encounter affected me, but mostly it was the depth of her betrayal at having spent her life moulded to the beliefs of others and the shame she felt at not realising how she had allowed her life to pass in a daze of deception and lies not of her own making. Her final acceptance of a new way to be, a different existence that would allow her to use her own mind and experiences to live for herself was a joy to watch unfold.

Voices & Visions A Psychic’s Recollections
Purchase here or here. These four short stories are based on actual events from my life as a Psychic Consultant. One of the most common questions I’m asked about being a psychic is, “What’s it like?” There’s no easy answer to that question, so this collection of stories should offer a glimpse into the types of everyday otherworldliness that surrounds a psychic consultant in their everyday life.
The Rose Gold Pendant comes directly from a consultation and shows how strongly the powerful emotions wrought by war can carry across time. Ghosts of Natives Past tells of a small part of my childhood in rural Australia, where I first began to discover that not everyone saw the world the way I did. Tricycle warns of how the little intuitions can make life changing results. Finally, Messages Undelivered speaks about the delicate connection that occurs between psychic and client.
